What can I Register as a Trade Mark?

A vast majority of Registered Trade Marks are words, phrases, letters, numbers, and graphical illustrations, or a combination of these – however you may also raise an application for a sound, smell, shape, or even colour.

Generally, however, you cannot register something which is identical or similar to an existing registered Trade Mark, a Trade mark which is descriptive or generic, or a Trade Mark that other businesses is likely to use in their normal course of trade.
